This homeowner in Lake Arrowhead, California got a tub to shower conversion and a full shower replacement in two of their bathrooms. The tub to shower conversion was done because the homeowner was not using the bathtub anymore and they wanted to make their shower safer. By converting this tub into a brand new walk in shower the risk of slipping and falling is greatly reduced. Some additional benefits are added space in the shower and a beautiful acrylic natural stone finish. The homeowner will also not have to worry about resurfacing their old porcelain bathtub any more. They decided to go with a full wall and ceiling shower surround for maximum moisture containment and an elegant modern design.
The shower to shower replacement was done because the homeowner was concerned that water had been waking into their shower walls through the grout lines in the tile. Real tile should be resealed at least once a year, however it is recommended that tile in the bathroom is resealed every six months to prevent leaks that can result in mold and mildew which can lead to severe health issues. We removed all of the old tile and replaced it with our beautiful antimicrobial acrylic wall surrounds. These are fully water sealed and the homeowner will not need to reseal them at all.
